She regularly advises and assists creditors in preserving and pursuing their rights, both before and after a debtor bankruptcy, and in avoiding or defending preference, fraudulent conveyance and turnover claims. She also represents clients in workouts and foreclosures, both from the creditor and debtor sides.

Her commercial real estate practice includes purchases and sales, leasing and subleasing, environmental issues, construction contracts and disputes, pursuing and defending mechanics' liens, and mortgage borrowing and lending.

In the commercial law area, her practice consists of contract formation, analysis and advice, employee relations, and general troubleshooting.

Judy has served as an attorney trial referee and was a member of the subcommittee which drafted the bankruptcy standards for the Connecticut Standards of Title. She has presented seminars on foreclosure and bankruptcy issues, and provides sexual harassment training in a seminar sponsored by Levett Rockwood. She is also a co-author of an article on foreclosure-related issues which appeared in The Connecticut Law Tribune.

Judy graduated from Brown University (magna cum laude, phi beta kappa with highest honors) in 1966, received a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Yale University in 1967, and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with high honors in 1977.
