Cheryl has a diverse business-law practice including taxation, entity structuring and operations, business planning and specialized securities law matters. Within these areas she has broad experience in transactional tax matters (including domestic and international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and financings); exempt organization formations, tax exemption and operations; partnership/limited liability company organization, taxation and operations; executive compensation; business succession planning; and equipment leasing. She also has a broad practice advising investment funds and their advisors (including private equity funds, SBICs, fund of funds, and hedge funds), as well as other pooled investment vehicles.

Cheryl joined Levett Rockwood in 1993. Prior to joining Levett Rockwood, she was associated with the New York City law firms Debevoise & Plimpton and Shereff, Friedman, Hoffman & Goodman.

Cheryl graduated from Lafayette College (magna cum laude and phi beta kappa) in 1983 majoring in International Affairs and Russian Language. During the Summer of 1982, she studied in the former Soviet Union at Leningrad State University. She received her law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo (cum laude) in 1986 where she was a member of the Buffalo Law Review and her masters in tax law from New York University in 1990.

Cheryl has served on the boards of a number of charitable organizations with particular experience/service with educational organizations, land trusts and other land conservation organizations.
