Debbie practices business law with special attention to transactional, general corporate and healthcare matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances and commercial financing.

Debbie has handled the purchase and sale of companies throughout the United States and Canada, such as a motor oil distribution company in California, a manufacturer of metal racks and parts in Alabama and Tennessee, a drawn tube aluminum extrusion plant in North Carolina, and a developer of software for the automotive parts industry in New Jersey. She manages senior and mezzanine financing in connection with both ongoing representations and acquisitions.

In the healthcare field, she has been involved in a variety of transactions such as a not-for-profit hospital’s purchase of a commercial interest in an ambulatory surgical center and the subsequent reorganization of the ambulatory surgical center to be part of the tax-exempt arm of the hospital, as well as the restructuring and negotiation of physician leases in hospital-owned medical offices to comply with federal and state regulatory requirements.

Prior to joining Levett Rockwood in 1998, Debbie worked for ten years with the New York City law firm Windels, Marx, Lane & Mittendorf, and before that at Cummings & Lockwood in Stamford. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1985, and a B.S. from Old Dominion University in 1979.

Debbie is a member of the Connecticut and New York bars. She has two children and lives in Weston, Connecticut.
